teaching...

I'm excited to announce to you all that have been asked to be one of the teachers at the upcoming Sewing Summit 2012!  I couldn't be more thrilled to be a part of such a great conference.  For those of you who are unfamiliar with Sewing Summit, it is a modern sewing and blogging conference held at the Little America hotel in Salt Lake.  Last year was their first year holding the conference, and it has grown substantially since then.  It's a weekend getaway full of different sewing/blogging classes.  This year's Sewing Summit will take place the weekend of October 11-13th.  I can't wait to meet all the other amazing teachers and take some great sewing classes, along with teaching my own.

Wanna know what I'll be teaching?  I will be teaching a two-hour-long class on how to make your own maxi skirt!  When I presented my class topic to Ali the teacher coordinator she asked if I would teach that class twice, since it might be pretty popular.  I'm all about spreading the love for the fabulous maxi.  I am probably most excited about teaching in a room full of 20 baby lock sergers, one for every student.  Now if I could just get baby lock to send me one.....

I wish I could direct you all to the registration page and tell you to go sign up, but yesterday was the first day of registration and it SOLD OUT already!  I seriously couldn't believe it.  If you are interested in attending, send an email over to waitlist@sewingsummit.com and they will contact you if any spots open up.

If you were one of the lucky early birds that secured yourself a spot, let me know!  I'd love to have you come to one of my classes!
