This weekend my friend Chelsea and I stopped by Alice Lane for this:

let me just tell you, they served the rainbow cake and it was as amazing in person as it is in the picture and it was muy delicioso.  

While I was there I picked up these two beauties

They were on sale half of and it was cool to get them signed by Nicole.  I've already read the illustrator book (thanks to Adri) and it was great.  These books are really well written.  They are easy to understand and I've already learned a handful of photo editing skills that make a world of difference.

On a side note, Alice Lane never ceases to amazing me.  I want every piece the have in my home.  But that is an entirely different post.
