cheer

I hate to disappoint you today, but unfortunately I didn't make a tutorial for this little number. . . .

Lexi, my lovely model

If that's not the most attractive cheer leading costume you've ever seen, I don't know what is.

My friend Chelsea's little sister is in a production for our church and her mom asked me to whip this up.  We all knew it was going to be slightly horrendous.

It was the first time in a long time that I followed a pattern.  And I'm still not converted.  The directions were vague and there were only 5 steps.  But step one would be some thing like, "sew all 15 skirt pieces together, attach waistband and zipper."   oh, that's all?  But hey, it's completed and actually wearable.

  1. Marné just said, "Whoa, she doesn't look very good with that blue and white dress, but her face is pretty."

    Loving all your creations, Leanne!

  2. I am assuming that is for the Youth Celebration? I have to make flapper dresses for my YW.

  3. Oh the joys of vague patterns. In fact now that I thinking about all you in to do is change one word in vague and it would become vogue. There should be a magazine on how to really sew with patterns and cater to problem solving all the vague patterns out there.

  4. that is one incredibly modest cheer leading outfit! Great job - I cannot pretty much for the life of me follow a pattern...
