maxi skirt: dress it up

option 2:
dress it up

top: H&M, blazer: F21, skirt: me (tutorial), belt: vintage from my mom,  jewlery: nashelle, J.Crew, UO, F21, lipstick: So Chaud (Mac)

It's hard to really feel dressed up in a maxi since these skirts don't exactly require you to shave your legs, plus they feel like pajamas.  But that's nothing a high bun and red/orange lip can't fix.  Also, you should try your hand at mixing prints if you haven't already.  It's not as intimidating as it looks.

  1. This look is so great! I think not having to shave your legs makes it a plus also! (LOL)

  2. I love this option. I am the kind of person who would have a hard time pulling off a maxi without heels of some sort so dressing it up is perfect for my height.

  3. I love this look. The pattern mixing makes it for me, I think.

Also I love this little series you're doing. Genius.

  4. Gorgeous, as usual. I'm thinking I might need to jump on your maxi tutorial and attempt one. Although, mine would probably turn out like a lop-sided sack thanks to my $50 sewing machine and sub-par sewing skills! :)
