tired

So....I have a million posts in my mind that I want to do.  And a million things I want to sew.  And a million items on my to do list.  But to be honest, being a mother is exhausting enough.  Sometimes I need to tell myself that I am not some superwoman that can check off every item on my list.  Sometimes its ok to just hang out in my workout clothes all day (without ever actually working out.....that counts in my book).  And today is one of those days.  Today...getting dressed is not even going to get checked off the list.  And that is totally fine with me.

  1. Take your time to rest! you deserve it. Sometimes 24 hours are not enough for all you want to do, and maybe when you have time, you are just exhausted.
    Don't worry...

  2. It is so good to have days like this every so often, I think. Just relax, lay low, spend time with your boys, and don't do anything. Good for you :)

  3. Leanne, I used to follow your personal blog until it went private...I'm expecting my 2nd child in about 9 1/2 weeks and remember you blogging about the "must have's" after delivery, etc. Would you be willing to share that post here or email me your list? You had items on there that I hadn't thought of nor was I given by the hospital. Thanks, Christy

  5. Hey! That's what I did yesterday :) Hopefully I make it to the shower today ha. And if you ever do find time to do all those blog posts and sewing projects maybe you could do a post about being a mom of two. I'm thinking about baby #2 all the time these days... but I'm scared :0

  6. So true- take everything day by day. Your babies are much more important than a to-do list!

  7. I needed to read this today and know that I'm not the only one who gets tired. Plus this also reminds me I need to buy new work out clothes, for this reason alone!!

  8. It's true! I'm exhausted. We're allowed, we do EVERYTHING and we have to be everything to everyone. Take it easy, the lists will be there tomorrow.

  9. I know I felt that way after I had my baby, and 15 months later, I still have days like that. Don't worry about your followers, we still think you're awesome even if we have to wait a while to see what cool stuff you've got coming up!

  11. EVERYONE needs a day like that occasionally. Just enjoy and decompress and relax! From a mom of six with four in college, I'm on the other end of the mommy spectrum, but please just enjoy those "do nothing" days with your little ones. They don't come often enough! :)

  12. When I had #2 everyone said how easy the transition was from 1 child to 2. I was overwhelmed and felt like such a failure...if it was 'so easy' then why was I struggling so much? I discovered much later than many of my besties felt the same way. It does get better, especially when you allow yourself days to slap up your hair and pull on a favorite tee with yoga pants. Oh, and just in case you are leaving your options open for #3, the transition from 2 kids to 3 is literally a piece of cake, and I am brutally honest. Please, whatever you do, keep creating your gorgeous clothes. (no pressure)
